How do you summarize your experience into a captivating Bio and build a personal connection through an Artist Statement?

In this hands-on workshop, you’ll get examples, a checklist of key elements, and writing exercises to help you create these two important assets that every working artist should have. If you have a current Bio and/or Artist Statement, bring them and we’ll workshop them together. If you’re starting from scratch, this will be the motivation you need to get them written!

The Bio we’ll be creating will be a standalone summary of your experience, to add to your website, booking sites, portfolio and/or press kit. The Artist Statement, sometimes called a Professional Statement or Objective, will go into your resume to share your ‘why’ and showcase your unique value so you stand out and create a personal connection with the reader.

Bring a notebook and pen, or a laptop and we’ll get you on your path to creating materials that have all the necessary elements while reflecting your unique value and personality.
